Anthropic coming after visual design, Open AI release Agent Hardness
This week’s signal: Agent infrastructure is the next enterprise land grab. Anthropic’s Managed Agents and OpenAI’s updated Agents SDK both shipped agents production scaffolding this week — sandboxing, checkpointing, credential management, scoped permissions — eliminating months of custom build work. in the meantime, Salesforce, Notion, and Cursor opened their platforms to external agent orchestrators.
The labs are competing to own the execution layer; enterprise SaaS is repositioning as the system of record indispensable for agents.
